getting there...

  • 16 more shifts left to work!    (Wow, I can't believe that I will be hanging up my uniform for a full year, actually 14 months!)

  • We had a garage sale on Friday and got rid of tons of stuff and made $800!

  • We have cancelled our utilities as of May 31st, the dog has his updated shots, the house is 3/4 packed, the RV is all ready- new brakes and all serviced and ready to roll.

  • I have an appointment with Michael's school in a few weeks to go over some schooling info for next year.

Let the storage and packing begin!

So far I have fit in the crock pot and electric frying pan!  I am so thrilled to be able to take these along since 50% of the time we should have electric hookups!

Jen and I were not going to bring a hair dryer since they take up so much drawer space but we have since decided we NEED to have one.  One thing I will gladly leave behind is the iron....all of our clothes may be wrinkled but oh well...

Good news!!!  We will now have a little niece or nephew to come back to visit in the fall, Rob and Lesley are expecting in October around Jen's and mom's birthday...I can't wait!  I told mom that all her grandkids will all be 10 years apart, Jen will be 20, Mike 10 and then the new baby....how's that for far apart spacing!

45 more days until we depart, a HUGE garage sale will take place May 7th ....it is happening fast!

We now have new curtains and shelves!

A big thank you to Mike W for helping Terry make the new shelves and to mom for helping me with the curtains!  Also a new shower curtain, mat and magnetic spice jars, the place is starting to look great!
here are some "before" and "after" photos.
