bringing the motorhome home today!

We are a few weeks ahead of Spring but it is oh so nice and sunny out that today is the day!

We will have the motorhome in our driveway to start on the daunting task of preparing it for the one year.

Slowly we will need to be able to find spaces to cram everything in and hopefully not take too much or too little!

the application is in!

Jen has officially applied to the UPEI ( University of Prince Edward Island)

http://www.upei.ca/home/

They will let her know in 2-3 weeks if she is accepted into her Dietitian's program.

Once we have that information we will be setting our Nuvi GPS to Charlottetown!

let the packing begin!

Packed up my office today, put half of it into boxes for a garage sale, the other half to be stored until we return.

Sold the bunk beds today! A friend has said she wants them and will pick them up in a few weeks...

I will be having a huge garage sale in April ( unless I pre-sell it all)

We will be bringing the motorhome back to our house this week hopefully and will start getting it ready!

Jen has said she is definitely coming with us until she starts University! Yeah! We just need to know which University we are taking her to?

a YEAR is a long time...

It is starting to sink in...a whole YEAR!

At first it was just a statement that I was making when I told the few people what we were doing..."yep, we are leaving for a year" now it is sinking in...a year...wow...

Jennifer is leaving to go off to University. She was going to go to Victoria and try and figure out what she wanted to study, take a few courses at the college there or whatever...now she has announced to us that she wants to be a dietician...a 4 year Bachelor of Science degree and a 1 year internship...not available at UVIC. UBC is too big (and expensive), Alberta, Sask and Man are out ( according to Jennifer) which leaves Ontario ( very expensive to live) , Quebec( McGill) and the Maritimes. Our road trip will be determined by where she gets accepted....Jen hopes it is UPEI. Housing is cheaper there and there are only 3300 undergraduates, small for University standards.

Jen is thinking about coming with us on the road trip until we reach her new place...we will stay in her location long enough to get her set up, make sure she is comfortable etc and then hit the road again down south...

I am sure this will be tough on my mom, all of us leaving at the same time, but airline tickets are cheap for us and it will only be a full day trip to visit no matter where any of us are!

It is after all only a year...and absence does make the heart grow fonder!
